An Automatic Identification System or AIS is used as a tracking system to identify and locate vessels. It automatically transmits a ship’s vital information such as identity, position, course and speed to nearby vessels and shore stations. Jotron’s AIS is composed of a separate display and transponder unit  with 7” Touch Screen Display. It’s software is enabled to be upgraded and incorporates a compact design for easy installation. The device has console or desktop mounting  with junction-connection included in transponder-unit. The Display rated to IP54 + Extended temperature    (IEC 60945) and the transponder rated to IP56, + Exposed (IEC 60945).
